In this time of global economic crisis and political transition, people have a lot on their minds. According to a recent series of polls from the Pew Research Center, chief among the publics concerns are the economy, jobs, and terrorism. Whats not at the top of the list? Global warming, which finished dead last out of the 20 issues on the cartier Pasha Seatimer 2006 watches survey. Only 30 percent of people said global warming was a top priority, behind the pressing concern of lobbyists (18th) and the general moral decline (13th). This is down five percent from last January, and eight percent from the year before.
There was a huge gap along party lines, as 16 percent of Republicans said global warming was a top priority, compared with 45 percent of Democrats.Strangely enough, the environment ranked higher at 17th. Its encouraging to know that it beat out lobbyists (barely), but its interesting that at least 11 percent (and possibly more) of people surveyed cartier Roadster watches thought the environment was a top priority, but not global warming. This seems to indicate that a large group of people are more concerned with localized environmental issues. You might be thinking Hold on. If we combine the percentages for the environment and global warming, the number jumps to 72 percent, giving it the number four spot.
But it appears from the questionnaire that the respondents were able to list as many top priorities as they wanted, so they were free to name both the environment and global warming as a top priority. I should also note that if you combine all the people who called each issue a Top Priority and Important but Lower Priority, global warming still comes cartier Roadster Chronograph watches last.It can be hard to focus on the environment when you are worried about losing your job or feeding your family, so I have two questions for you. Should global warming take a back seat to the economy until the country gets back on its feet? And, should we be more concerned with local environmental issues than global warming?
